Music Minor

Music minors are an important part of the music program at the University of Portland. They are actively involved in ensembles, private lessons for their instrument, and classes.  The minor program allows for students to choose specific music courses that relate to their interest and career path.  More information on those requirements can be found in the Music Study Handbook. The handbook is presented to all music students at the beginning of each year and is considered an addendum to the University Bulletin.

Opportunities for individual performance are available through regularly scheduled student recitals included as a part of Music at Midweek, a weekly series of professional and non-professional performances.
