- The physics department is home to a state-of the art quantum optics research laboratory, as well as a modern optics teaching laboratory.
- Physics majors gain valuable experience working closely with faculty mentors on undergraduate research in the areas of quantum optics, atomic physics, material science, and science education.
- The physics B.S. degree is excellent preparation for graduate school in physics, industrial physics, and engineering, as well as an excellent pre-professional degree program for students interested in pursuing medical school, law school, or a master of arts in teaching program.
