During her years at UP, Rebekah Padua was a Math and Theology double major with an Economics minor. At the time, she shares, her studies felt very random and unrelated to her expectations for post-grad life. However, now Rebekah looks back with gratitude: “Little did I know that I was cultivating amazing and quite desirable skills- problem solving, ethical and analytical thinking, maintaining awareness of current events, and the most difficult- time management.” After Rebekah graduated in a virtual commencement ceremony in 2020, she went straight into working as a data analyst for a healthcare tech company. She says her experience has been awesome so far, and she attributes much of her success to her professors, mentors, and advisors! “As a CAS graduate in tech, I can confidently assure future grads that your major does not define and should not confine you to future job prospects,” encourages Rebekah.
