Philosophy Minor

The minor program in philosophy is intended to meet the needs of various types of students, including those who plan to do graduate work in any field of the liberal arts and those who plan to do graduate work in other fields like law, medicine, business, journalism, or ministry. Those who wish to pursue a minor in philosophy while majoring in some other discipline of the humanities, sciences, or professional areas should contact Caery Evangelist who is serving as the department chair. Philosophy as a minor further reinforces a solid liberal education here at the University of Portland. The following courses are needed in addition to the core requirements in order to earn a philosophy minor.
