The offerings of the Department of Philosophy include a major and a minor option. Each program includes courses from the University's core curriculum and a number of elective courses of the student's choosing. The major in philosophy is intended to meet the needs of various types of students; including those who plan to do graduate work in philosophy; those who plan to do graduate work in other fields such as law, medicine, business, journalism, ministry, or any of the liberal arts.
