Undergraduate Programs

The bachelor of arts in social work degree offers an academically rigorous program enriched by intensive, educationally-directed field experiences. It prepares students to become culturally competent, ethical social work practitioners in a wide range of settings and to assume leadership roles in diverse societies.

Students are encouraged to engage in research with social work faculty or independently. Students are hired regularly as research assistants with the Social Work Program. Students have been regularly present at local, national, and international conferences, and the Social Work Program has been successful in locating grant or institutional resources to support these activities.
