Studying Biology at UP means you will have access to hands-on research opportunities that build your capacity for critical thinking, independent learning, and problem solving.
Our Programs

Biology Majors
Pursue a degree in Biology; Cell, Molecular, and Biomedical Sciences; Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology; or Human Biology. Be prepared for rewarding careers like biotech research scientist, physician, national park ecologist, zoologist, and more.

Biology Minor
A minor in Biology may be combined with several different major programs at UP and increases the value of your degree. Biology minors are great additions to many programs of study such as environmental science, public health and wellness, psychology, and physiology.

Biology & Pre-Health
Studying Biology is a great place to start if you are considering a career in health care or planning to go to medical school. Biology majors are well prepared to pursue a variety of health professional graduate programs such as medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, dental hygiene, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapy, optometry, and podiatry.
