This includes retrieval practices, discussion, drawing, and applications to patient scenarios to illustrate physiological mechanisms.  Class emphasizes learning for long-term memory formation. 
  • Outside of the classroom, Dr. EC enjoys working with the Human Anatomy and Physiology 2 Lab Teaching Assistants.
  • She is an advocate for informal and formal peer-to-peer teaching as a part of the learning process for both the learned and the learner. 
  • Dr. EC’s former teaching assignments include classes for students ranging in age from middle school to graduate school, but the undergraduate students are her favorite.
  • She has undergraduate degrees in Exercise & Movement Science and Psychology, a Secondary Teaching Credential in Biology and a PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior.
  • She is most proud of her role as a parent to three children.
