Chemistry: Degrees & Specializations
The chemistry department offers three options, Option I, Option II, and Option III to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in chemistry. Each option provides solid preparation for careers as research scientists, health care practitioners, educators, and technical personnel in industry, government, and other organizations. The B.S. in chemistry provides students with a comprehensive background in chemistry, along with extensive supporting coursework in physics, mathematics, and the biological sciences.
Swindells Hall features nine biology and chemistry teaching labs, faculty offices, climate-controlled growth chambers, a greenhouse, a hazardous materials storage and handling room, a radioisotope suite, and an environmental analysis room.
