Chemistry: Option III
Biochemistry
This curriculum is recommended for students who are interested in the molecular basis of biological problems and plan on pursuing advanced study in biochemistry or a medically related field. It leads to a B.S. in Chemistry (Biochemistry) degree.
Major Requirements Specific to Option III:
- Two semesters of biology and labs (lower-division).
- Two semesters of biochemistry and upper-division biology with labs.
- Instrumental Analysis and 4 semester hours of upper division chemistry.
- Undergraduate research is strongly recommended.
