Requirements

Requirements for the Hellenic studies minor total 12 credit hours:

  1. Introductory course (3 credit hours): either HST 330 or THE 360
  2. Upper-division electives (6 credit hours) from the following list of courses: HST 330, POL 305, CST 327, FA 350, MTH 431, THTR 307, THE 360, THE 307/407, PHL 321, PHL 338, PHL 371, PHL 372, HST 430, PHL, POL, THE, THTR, or CST 490
  3. Capstone course (3 credit hours): either PHL 338 or PHL 371. In either course, students will be required to write a synthesis paper that demonstrates proficiency in each of the HSM learning outcomes.

HST 430 and directed study courses (designated 490) may fulfill the elective requirements if the topic is related to Hellenic studies. Please confirm eligible yearly course offerings with the program director.
