Psi Chi Honor Society

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in psychology. It was founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology." At the University of Portland, the Psi Chi chapter is advised by professor Deana Julka. New members are inducted annually.

Membership in Psi Chi depends upon:
  • Being a major or minor in psychology;
  • Completion of three semesters of college;
  • Completion of nine credit hours of psychology courses;
  • Overall GPA of at least 3.0, with rank in upper 35% of your class;
  • An application to professor Deana Julka.
