Psychology: Psychology B.A.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology offers an undergraduate that prepares students for graduate work, occupations in the helping professions, and many other career paths.

University Core Curriculum -- 39 hours

PSY 101 must be taken as one of the core social science courses.

College Requirements, B.A. -- 21-33 hours

3	Effective Communication (CST 100, CST 101, CST 107, CST 307, ENG 107, or ENG 311)
3	Metaphysics (one course from PHL 331-337)
15	Credits of upper-division courses outside the primary major, 9 of which must come from 3 different disciplines in the College of Arts and Sciences. This requirement is not fulfilled by the University core.
0-12	Intermediate level of one language

Major Requirements -- 30 hours

3	PSY 498 - Senior Seminar or PSY 499 - Thesis
21	Upper-division psychology electives, including:
	6 credits chosen from the Group 1: PSY 310 - Behavioral Neuroscience PSY 320 - Psychology of Learning PSY 330 - Cognition PSY 340 - Sensation and Perception
	6 credits from the Group 2: PSY 350 - Social Psychology PSY 360 - Life Span Development PSY 370 - Personality PSY 380 - Abnormal Psychology

General Electives -- 18-30 hours
