Political Science: Welcome

The mission of the political science department is to provide students with a value-based education that imparts the skills and knowledge necessary to become engaged citizens and leaders in society. We provide students with the necessary tools for understanding a complex world and for active civic involvement. We do this by offering introductory courses to all students and by preparing majors to enter careers in business, journalism, religious organizations, and for local, national and international public service.

Majors are prepared to enter graduates studies in political science, law and other professional disciplines in top graduate programs worldwide. Students who have graduated from the program have attended graduate and law programs at places like:
