Music: Music Club

The Music Club at the University of Portland provides a plethora of music and art activities in the Portland area.  It provides students with information of exciting arts in the Portland area at great discounted student prices.  

Music Club has attended events at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall for Oregon Symphony performances, and Keller Auditorium for Broadway shows and Operas, such as La Boheme.  Other performances include Sweeney Todd, Legends of Swing, La Traviata, and Spring Awakening.  Upcoming performances this Spring are the musical CATS and The Barber of Seville. 

Not only do we have off campus opportunities, but we also provide events on campus.  Throughout the semester, there is the possibility for jam sessions, or “Music at Midnight” events in the Mago Hunt Recital Hall.  Music lovers from all over the campus will gather to share in food, fun, laughs, and, most importantly, MUSIC! Prepare to perform or simply enjoy the music that others have prepared to share with the group. Anyone is welcome to bring in any instrument or song and snacks are provided. 

Music Club is not just for music majors, but for lovers of all varieties of arts.  Being part of Music Club is also a great way to meet other students interested in music and art performances.
