Music: Ensembles

The University of Portland offers many types of ensembles you could desire as a musician: Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, Pep Band, Orchestra, the University Choral Union, the University Singers, Music at Midweek, and various chamber ensembles. Music students must be involved in a group ensemble while pursuing their degree in order to help attain the goal of comprehensive musicianship. Each of the ensembles is led by a different faculty member, therefore making contact with a variety of ensemble, musical, and conducting techniques possible.
