History: Phi Alpha Theta
Students who have completed at least 12 hours of upper-division history and have maintained a GPA of at least 3.5 in their history courses along with an equally strong overall record are invited to join the local chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honors society. As members, students are eligible to present their research at the annual Northwest Regional Conference held every April in various places throughout the Pacific Northwest. Students also have the opportunity to gain editing experience through participation in the department’s student journal, Northwest Passages.
