The University offers a pre-veterinary medicine program that fulfills admission requirements to the Washington, Oregon, Idaho Regional Program in Veterinary Medicine and other accredited veterinary medical schools. The following science courses are required by most veterinary medicine programs: General Biology with Lab, General Chemistry with Lab, Organic Chemistry with Lab, General Physics with Lab, Biochemistry, and Genetics.
Students are encouraged to meet with the Pre-Veterinary Medicine Advisor regularly to keep up to date on admissions requirements and application procedures, and to obtain assistance in planning their pre-veterinary medicine curriculum.- bio@up.edu
